CELEBRATING A MEMORABLE EVENING OF IMPACT
A NIGHT OF INSPIRATION, RECOGNITION, AND OPPORTUNITY
The 2026 Person of Courage Award Gala was an incredible success, bringing together community leaders, supporters, students, and families for an unforgettable evening dedicated to courage, resilience, and opportunity. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, sponsors, and supporters, we proudly raised $15,000 to help expand the BOSS Academy programs and continue empowering students through mentorship, leadership development, scholarships, and educational support.
Throughout the evening, we had the honor of recognizing our distinguished Persons of Courage Award recipients, individuals whose leadership, perseverance, and commitment to their communities continue to inspire those around them. Their stories served as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through determination, service, and heart.
We were also proud to award scholarships to several outstanding students whose hard work, ambition, and dedication embody the mission of Brave Enough to Fail. Supporting the next generation of leaders remains at the core of what we do, and it was a privilege to celebrate these deserving students in front of such a supportive community.

One of the highlights of the evening was an inspiring keynote address delivered by UConn Basketball legend Rashamel Jones, whose message of perseverance, discipline, and overcoming adversity deeply resonated with everyone in attendance. His powerful words energized the room and reinforced the importance of believing in yourself even during life’s most difficult moments.
From the heartfelt stories shared throughout the night to the incredible generosity shown by our sponsors and supporters, the gala was a true reflection of the impact that can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
