Brave Enough To Fail Receives $10,000 Gift in Honor of Henry “Bud” Boucher

Brave Enough To Fail (BETF) received an extremely generous $10,000 donation in memory of the late entrepreneur Henry “Bud” Boucher. According to BETF CEO Wayne Winsley, this significant contribution will enable BETF to provide summer programming for local students as they prepare for the next school year. The gift was made by Wilton First Selectman Toni Boucher in honor of her late husband.

The presentation was made by New Milford Mayor Pete Bass at a recent graduation of Brave Enough To Fail’s BOSS Academy program at Faith Preparatory in New Milford.

“We are immensely grateful to Toni Boucher for her support in memory of Henry Boucher,” said Winsley. “This gift not only enhances our ability to offer engaging and inspiring programs to the youth over this summer but will allow us to better ramp up for the coming school year as well. We are so grateful when individuals and organizations invest in the future of our children and their potential impact on the future of our nation.”

Winsley also invites other individuals, businesses, and organizations to partner with Brave Enough To Fail. “Toni Boucher is setting a wonderful example of community engagement,” he said. “We encourage others to match her incredible support and consider sponsoring Brave Enough To Fail and our BOSS Academy programs.”

Brave Enough To Fail is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing motivational programming, educational resources, and financial aid to help students succeed in school and beyond. Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of leaders, creators, and achievers by raising student achievement and inspiring young people to pursue their dreams. We focus on closing the achievement and opportunity gaps between traditionally underserved, low-income, minority students and their more affluent peers.

The BOSS Academy Program is a comprehensive 12-session youth development initiative designed to help youth build self-esteem and confidence to make healthy choices. The course helps students take charge and be the boss of their dreams. Students learn to embrace big dreams, step out of their comfort zones, develop a strategy for success, and stick to their goals.
